What is Lawn Plan TM?

Lawn Plan is not just a lawn cutting service. It an all year round lawn maintenance and improvement service which provides mowing, treatments, scarification and a trained lawn technician who will constantly be assessing the needs of your lawn and able to act straight away to keep your lawn in the best condition possible for you lawn.

Do you cut the lawn on every visit?

No, we cut the lawn when it needs it and conditions permit. The service is not just a cutting service; the aim is to provide an all round lawn maintenance service that will improve the lawn quality. This means that if we don’t mow the lawn we will be carrying out other work to the lawn such as hand weeding or manual aeration.

Do you cut the lawn in the rain?

It all depends on the ground conditions rather than the rain itself. We use quality petrol mowers that can be used in all weathers, but the factor is how soft the lawn is. If the ground is too wet then mowing the lawn is likely to damage the lawn by making it uneven or ripping the surface of the turf when turning the mower.

How long should we keep off the lawn after it has been treated?

We would recommend that you stay off the lawn for 24 hours at least to give it time to start to back down. We would also recommend that you wash hands straight after contact with the lawn until the first rainfall. Although it is recommended that you should also wash you hands after any contact with the lawn.

How long am I tied into a contract for?

Our service is a 12 month plan to help improve the lawn to a better standard than it was when first taken on. The contract therefore is a 12 month contract with a minimum of 6 months with a 2 month notice period. This is because most lawns require sufficiently more cost in the first few months than subsequent months due to extra work to try and break the back of the work to help you feel that you are really getting an improvement in the lawn quality.

What happens if you miss a visit?

We book in 26 visits for ever customer and guarantee 24 visit (2 per month). If we miss one of these 24 visits we will reschedule the visit so that you still get all 24 visits

What do you do in the winter?

Weather and growth permitting we will mow the lawns, and make sure leaves are cleared off the lawn. We also carry out manual aeration of the lawn and manual hand weeding.

Are your treatments organic?

Where ever possible we do try to use an organic feed, however it is sometimes necessary to use non organic treatments when treating for moss and weeds. This is due to the fact that currently they are still a lot more effective than organic treatments

Why should I pay someone to maintain my lawn?

Do you want a good quality lawn? Do you value you free time highly? Do you want a knowledgeable and experienced lawn technician who knows when it is the best time to treat the lawn?

Why should I use you instead of other companies?

Unlike other companies who may visit your garden only 4 time a year to carry out a treatment on a fix date regardless of the conditions of the lawn or the current requirements of the lawn, we visit your garden at least 24 times a year. This means that we can react straight away to fix problems in your lawn; we have the flexibility to put your treatment down at the right time, in the right conditions and put the right treatment down for your specific lawn.

What do you do with the grass cutting?

We recycle all our green waste whether we take it away and recycle it through our links with a local composting company; or use your own composting bin so that you can use your own recycled compost on the garden; or by using your councils green waste recycling service.
