5 Mouthwatering Delights to Grill on Your BBQ This Summer

I have to say whilst doing this blog I got very hungry and had to take a break and fire up the BBQ!

But let's get stuck in to this blog....

With the arrival of summer, it's time to dust off your grill, invite friends and family over, and enjoy some delicious meals in the great outdoors.

BBQ season is all about indulging in flavourful and sizzling dishes that tantalise your taste buds. To make your garden gatherings even more memorable, I've compiled a list of five exciting recipes that will take your summer BBQ to the next level.

From juicy meats to vibrant vegetables, these dishes are guaranteed to impress your guests and leave them craving more.

  1. Grilled Watermelon and Feta Skewers: OMG blooming lovely!

Who said grills are only for meat lovers? Surprise your guests with a refreshing twist by serving grilled watermelon and feta skewers. Simply slice watermelon into cubes and thread them onto skewers along with chunks of feta cheese. Place them on the grill and cook until the watermelon is slightly charred and the cheese softens. The result is a delightful combination of sweet and savoury flavours that will awaken your taste buds.

  1. Honey-Glazed Grilled Salmon:

When it comes to BBQ seafood, grilled salmon is always a crowd-pleaser. The rich and buttery texture of salmon pairs perfectly with the smoky flavours from the grill. Prepare a simple marinade using honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and a squeeze of lemon juice. Let the salmon marinate for 30 minutes before grilling it to perfection. The result is a succulent and flaky fillet with a caramelised honey glaze that will leave everyone wanting seconds.

  1. Stuffed Grilled Portobello Mushrooms:

Vegetarians and meat-lovers alike will relish these delicious stuffed grilled portobello mushrooms. Remove the stems from the mushrooms and fill the cavity with a mixture of breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, chopped parsley, and olive oil. Grill the mushrooms until they are tender and the filling is golden brown and crispy. The earthy flavours of the mushrooms combined with the savoury stuffing create a mouthwatering dish that will satisfy everyone's taste buds.

  1. BBQ Ribs with Homemade Sauce:

No summer BBQ is complete without tender and flavourful BBQ ribs. Create your own homemade BBQ sauce by combining ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, and a blend of spices. Generously coat the ribs with the sauce and let them marinate for a few hours. Grill the ribs low and slow until the meat is tender and the sauce has caramelised. The result is fall-off-the-bone ribs with a sticky and smoky glaze that will have your guests licking their fingers.

  1. Grilled Pineapple with Cinnamon Sugar:

End your BBQ feast on a sweet note with a tropical treat—grilled pineapple with cinnamon sugar. Simply slice fresh pineapple into rings and grill them until they develop grill marks. Sprinkle the pineapple with a mixture of cinnamon and sugar, allowing it to melt and caramelise. The heat of the grill enhances the natural sweetness of the pineapple, while the cinnamon sugar adds a delightful warmth and crunch. Serve it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a heavenly dessert.

Summer is the perfect time to fire up your BBQ and experiment with a variety of mouthwatering dishes. These five recipes offer a diverse range of flavours and ingredients that will elevate your grilling experience and impress your guests. Whether you prefer meat, seafood, or vegetarian options, there is something for everyone to enjoy. So, gather your loved ones, embrace the warm weather, and embark on a culinary adventure with these tantalising recipes.
